According to the view of many, gemstones are formed through the powerful combination of water and fire; therefore, they hold powers corresponding to these phenomena. It is believed that each stone has a certain, divine blessing from God. Crystals are valued for far more than their beauty--they each have a sacred meaning. In ancient cultures their healing properties were as important as their ability to adorn.
Healing can mean the person receives the support & transformation that is most appropriate for their current situation and that he/she is most ready to accept. One should look for gemstones that not only address symptoms, but also serve to support one's personality type and counteract weaknessess.
