The Naphtali tribe of Israel is associated with Citrine. . It was also a stone used in the breastplate of the Jewish High Priest.  Named after the French word 'citron', meaning 'yellow' it is also known as yellow quartz and its color varies from pale yellow to a golden brown. In ancient times, Citrine was thought to protect from snake venom and evil thoughts.
